Should I Switch Hosts?

WordPress has been a jerk about settings, CSS, and media. So, I’m pondering the notion of paying monthly for a better site.

Pros

  • No limits on bandwidth
  • Custom Flash, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Able to put ads (MONEY BAYBEY!)
  • placing videos
  • More control overall

Cons

  • Have to pay a fixed monthly fee
  • More work in posting, need FTP software/web publishing software
  • May have to upgrade servers if I get too much traffic
  • Site has more possibility of crashing

Stay tuned (logged in?) in the next few days for the pilot project of Built and Tested. I’m not going to say much, but we’re taking the simple marshmallow blow gun and scaling it up!

Trying to get the code just right to make the site SCHWEET. CSS is a lot of work and code involved. But the site needs a makeover from its boring current theme.
